Corporate identity Skateshop Edge.

This was my graduation project; I did a complete restyling of the corporate identity for Edge Skateshop. I wanted to work for a "real" client, to prepare myself for the world to come.

The shop owner gave me no restrictions for the make-over, except for the company’s name which had to remain unchanged. The concept for the logo is based on the general contradiction between overprotective parents and their kids who just want to be cool.

As a child I thought - like many other children - that being shoved in a plastic armour was pretty lame. The viking helmet in my design symbolizes the merging of coolness and parental approval into one logo.
